Bears face Lumberjacks Tuesday for rematch of the 2022 NCAA First-Round matchup
WACO, Texas – Finishing out its 2023 non-conference slate, the 18th ranked Baylor volleyball team is set to host Stephen F. Austin for a midweek matchup at the Ferrell Center with start time set for 6 p.m. CT.
The Bears (5-4) faced the Lumberjacks (11-2) as recently as 2022, sweeping them at the Ferrell Center in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on December 1.
Baylor is coming off a 1-1 week, falling to then-No. 11 Washington State in the middle of the week but defeating then-No. 19 Ohio State in five sets on Friday night.
BU continues to be led by freshman standout Kyndal Stowers, who collected 36 kills over the two matches last week. Junior transfer Manuela Bibinbe is holding her own on defense with a total of nine blocks last week and an overall count of 28 for the season.
Tuesday night's match is Teacher Appreciation Night for Baylor volleyball, with giveaways for teachers with IDs.
The match will be streamed on ESPN+, with John Morris and former BU volleyball standout Katie Staiger Smith on the call. Live stats and links to watch the match on ESPN+ can be found at linktr.ee/baylorvball.
