Littlepage-Buggs back on list for junior season
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Baylor women's basketball junior Darianna Littlepage-Buggs has been named to the 2024-25 Preseason Watch List for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award for the second-straight season, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Thursday.
The Katrina McClain Award annually recognizes the top power forwards in women's college basketball every year. The junior is listed among the top 20 in the country.
Earning All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2024, Littlepage-Buggs' 149 field goals made were second among the team with a percentage of .525. She ended 18 games with double-digit points and had five double-doubles, including a 12-point, 11-rebound effort to close the season against No. 3 USC in the Sweet 16.
Her 2022-23 freshman season saw the second-most weekly rookie honors in the history of the Big 12 Conference and the most in Baylor history with eight Big 12 Freshman of the Week nods.
An updated top 10 list for the Katrina McClain Award will be released in January, with the final five narrowed in late March. Throughout the season, the list will be fluid, and players will have the ability to play themselves on or off the list until the five finalists are selected.
Single game tickets for 2024-25 at the Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion are on sale now. For more information, call the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office at 254-710-1000.
Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
