Bears start road trip against Bearcats
CINCINNATI, Ohio – No. 16 Baylor volleyball is set to face Cincinnati on Wednesday afternoon to start the final road trip of the conference slate. The match is set for 12 p.m. CT at Fifth Third Arena.
 
The Bears (20-7, 12-4) take on the Bearcats (14-13, 5-11) for the second time this season when they meet midweek. They met for the first time on October 17 in Waco, with BU winning 3-0.
 
This is the eighth season under Ryan McGuyre that the Bears have had 20 or more wins.
 
Baylor leads the all-time series, 4-1, and is 2-0 historically in Cincinnati.
 
BU enters the match on a two-match winning streak, defeating Texas Tech on Nov. 20 in three sets and taking Houston in five on Nov. 23. Cincinnati is coming off a 3-0 loss to Utah on the road on Nov. 24 after they defeated BYU in Provo in five sets on Nov. 21.
 
Leading the way for the Bears through 27 matches are senior outside hitter McGhee (369 kills, 36 aces), senior libero Lauren Briseño (403 digs), graduate transfer setter Jackie Barrett Frazier (780 assists) and redshirt junior middle blocker Alicia Andrew (84 blocks).
 
BU is 113-48 in Big 12 matches under McGuyre and has raked in 239 Big 12 wins overall since 1996.
