Bears play last conference matchup on Friday
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 16th-ranked Baylor volleyball squad finishes out the regular season on Friday afternoon at West Virginia, the match taking place at 1 p.m. CT.
The Bears (21-7, 13-4) face the Mountaineers (8-20, 2-15) for the first time in WVU Arena since 2022.
Baylor is on a 17-match winning streak against WVU, playing one match at home in 2023 and sweeping, 3-0.
Both teams played on Wednesday, where BU defeated Cincinnati (3-2) while WVU fell to No. 22 TCU (3-0).
In that match with the Bearcats, Baylor saw Elise McGhee lead the squad with 15 kills, with Victoria Davis not far behind with 13 and Kendal Murphy with 12. It was Davis' first double-digit kill match, while also putting up six blocks. McGhee and Murphy each had a double-double; McGhee recording 12 digs while Murphy had 10. Lauren Briseño led the team in digs with 23, her second match in a row with 20 or more digs and fifth overall this season. Jackie Barrett Frazier had 40 assists while Harley Kreck dished out 12, her fifth match in double-digits.
Through 28 matches, Baylor is led by McGhee in kills (384) and aces (36), Barrett Frazier in assists (820), Briseño in digs (426) and Alicia Andrew in blocks (86).
