Bears hosting annual White Out against SMU
WACO, Texas – The No. 18 Baylor men's tennis team returns home to host the No. 50 SMU Mustangs and the UTRGV Vaqueros at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, at the Hurd Tennis Center on Sunday.
The Bears (10-1) tabbed their 10th win of the season last Sunday at Abilene Christian and will host SMU (8-4) and UTRGV (3-10) for the first outdoor matches in Waco this season as part of the quadruple header with Baylor women's tennis playing Grand Canyon and Texas A&M this Sunday afternoon.
With another new set of ITA rankings out on Wednesday, BU has a season-high three athletes in the top-125 singles list. Tadeas Paroulek dropped six spots to No. 35 with his 6-2 record and Devin Badenhorst blasted up to No. 75 with his undefeated 8-0 season. Zsombor Velcz found the first ranking of his career at No. 83.
No Baylor doubles pair has been featured in rankings, but the Paroulek/Velcz and Badenhorst/Luc Koenig pairings both lead the team in wins this spring at six.
For the Mustangs, No. 97 Adam Neff is the lone ranked player across both visiting teams, and he joins Huntley Allen at 46th in the doubles rankings.
Baylor's annual White Out match is scheduled against SMU. Fans receive free white Baylor men's tennis T-shirts, while supplies last. The match against UTRVG gives fans the opportunity for free Tiff's Treats Cookies, also while supplies last. Admission to the Hurd Tennis Center is free.
Beginning a new era of college tennis coverage, Cracked Racquets will carry their CrossCourt Cast of the SMU match exclusively on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Live stats and Playsight streams are still available online at BaylorBears.com.
