Bears take outside hitter from transfer portal
WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball head coach Ryan McGuyre has added Brielle Warren to the 2024 roster, announced Tuesday.
Warren transfers from Purdue University to join the Bears with three years of eligibility as an outside hitter. She spent the 2024 spring semester at Colorado State.
Originally from College Station, Texas, Warren redshirted her freshman season and appeared in one match in her second year with the Boilermakers.
A graduate of Fulshear High School in 2022, she was ranked as the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas by PrepDig.com. She was named to the 2021 AVCA All-America Watch List and was named first-team on the 2021 All-VYPE Public School preseason honors list. Warren helped guide the Chargers to a runner-up finish in the UIL 5A State Championship in 2020. She and her Fulshear squad were UIL 5A Area Champions in 2019. She also played for club team Houston Skyline, aiding them in ranking No. 5 in the nation as a junior.
She has been a part of the USA Volleyball training programs, earning MOP honors as a freshman during the U15 Junior Olympics. She also was a member of the 2021 USA U19 Summer Training Series.
Warren is the daughter of Ty Warren and Kesha Warren, her father boasting two Super Bowl wins in his eight NFL seasons with the New England Patriots, also a three-time Pro-Bowler. He currently serves as an assistant head coach for Stephen F. Austin's football program, coaching the defensive line. Her older sister, Brionna, is a softball outfielder for South Carolina while her younger sister, Bailey, is an outside hitter committed to Wake Forest's volleyball program.
Brielle will be studying communications with a minor in business at Baylor.
