Team earns 18th All-Academic Team honor
WACO, Texas – Baylor men's tennis earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor for the 18th time in program history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday afternoon. Six Bears were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Baylor's Justin Braverman, Christopher Frantzen, Marko Miladinović, Ethan Muza, Tadeas Paroulek and Arman Zamani won the individual Scholar-Athlete honors.
This marks Frantzen's fifth consecutive year with the award while Braverman and Miladinović made their third straight appearance on the list. Paroulek and Zamani both also earned the honor for back-to-back years.
The Bear's 2023-24 GPA of 3.49 earned their 16th All-Academic Team recognition in the last 17 years. To be eligible for the award, teams must possess a combined GPA of at least 3.2 or above. To be named ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must have a GPA of at least 3.5 to be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
In 2024, 1,059 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 176 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
Baylor was tied for second with BYU for most scholar-athlete selections in the Big 12 with six, both behind Oklahoma State with 10. Texas Tech and TCU named four and UCF tabbed three athletes.
