Bears host nine games in the new Foster Pavilion
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's basketball head coach Nicki Collen announced the non-conference slate for the 2024-25 season on Thursday morning.
Langston kicks off a two-game homestand to begin the season with an exhibition on Nov. 3. The 2024-25 season is officially rung in for Game No. 1 against Incarnate Word at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7.
BU's first road trip goes cross-country to Eugene, Ore., where the Bears play Oregon in a return trip after last season's 20-point win at the Ferrell Center. Baylor has taken all five victories from Oregon, and it will be the squad's first game in Eugene since 2008 before the opening of Matthew Knight Arena.
Back home for two games, Baylor hosts Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Nov. 14 and 17, respectively, at Foster Pavilion.
The Bears will spend Nov. 23-25 at Battle 4 Atlantis in a field of eight teams that includes five featured in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Baylor joins Indiana, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Villanova, Southern Miss, Columbia and Ball State in playing for the fourth women's Battle 4 Atlantis title. As announced in August, BU will play Southern Miss in its first-round matchup on Nov. 23rd at 10 a.m. CT. All games from Paradise Island will be streamed on FloHoops or the ESPN family of networks.
Foster Pavilion will be the home of five straight home games to close out the proper non-conference season before beginning play in the new 16-team Big 12 Conference. New Orleans (Nov. 29), Louisiana Tech (Dec. 1), Texas Southern (Dec. 4), UNLV (Dec. 8) and Utah Tech (Dec. 18) each make trips to Waco, highlighted by BU's first matchup against UNLV since 1988. The Lady Rebels are coming off their third-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
Back for another season, Future Bears Day will welcome local K-8 students to enjoy Baylor's game vs. Utah Tech at 11 a.m. on Dec. 18. More information for Future Bears Day will be announced in the coming days.
One final non-conference game will be played out in the regular season in Newark, N.J., as the Bears face UCLA on Jan. 20 for a neutral-site matchup.
The conference schedule and full broadcast information will be released at a later date from the Big 12 Conference.
The seat upgrade process for women's basketball season ticket holders is currently underway and will wrap up on Friday, September 20. New season ticket sales for the 2024-25 campaign will resume on Monday, September 23, at 8 a.m. CT.
