Littlepage-Buggs picked unanimously for All-Big 12 Preseason Team by league coaches
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its 2025-26 Preseason Team on Thursday morning, with Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and Bella Fontleroy representing Baylor on the list.
Littlepage-Buggs was a unanimous pick for the All-Big 12 Preseason Team after returning as the only player in the league to average a double-double during the 2024-25 season. The Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native has already surpassed the 1,000-point mark with 1,084 and enters her senior season with 820 career rebounds. She was also named to the Preseason Team in 2023-24 after earning unanimous Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors the previous season.
A WBCA honorable mention All-American after the 2024-25 season, Littlepage-Buggs became Baylor's 24th All-American and the 17th player to earn the program's 19th honorable mention nod from the coaches association.
Fontleroy's selection marks the first preseason honor of her career. She was a unanimous pick for the Big 12 All-Freshman Team in 2023 and earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Defensive Team following the 2025 season.
The Springfield, Missouri, native started all 36 games last season and enters 2025-26 with 944 career points and 547 rebounds. She recorded a career-high 29 points, including a career-best seven 3-pointers, in a 98-59 win over Cincinnati last February.
Baylor's two selections match Iowa State for the most from any school on the league's 10-player list. BYU, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU and West Virginia also had players named to the team.
The conference also released its Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday, with Baylor ranked third and earning two first-place votes, behind TCU and just behind Iowa State.
The 2025-26 season features a preseason exhibition against West Texas A&M at Foster Pavilion on Oct. 25 with free admission before the team heads to Paris, France, for the Nov. 3 season-opening matchup against Duke at Adidas Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN at 11 a.m. CT, tipping off at 6 p.m. local time in the City of Lights.
Fans can get an early look at the team off the court at the 2025 Season Premiere on Oct. 16 at the Hurd Welcome Center. The event is free and open to the public, with registration now open online.
