BU’s six weekly awards are tied for the most in the conference
WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball's Ksenia Rakhmanchik picked up Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors for the second-straight week, announced by the Big 12 on Tuesday.
The Minsk, Belarus, native has now been tabbed rookie of the week three times this season, joining Morgan Madison (9/2 and 9/30) and Bailey Warren (10/28). Bears rookies have claimed six of the 12 possible weekly awards in 2025, tying them with Arizona State for the most in the league.
The reigning rookie of the week delivered another dominant stretch for the No. 23 Bears, piling up 41 kills (5.13 per set) across road matches at Kansas State and Houston while adding 15 digs, six blocks, and 45.5 total points.
Rakhmanchik once again showcased her ability to take over matches, posting 23 kills against the Wildcats, her second straight road match with 20+ kills, before following it with 18 more in Baylor's win at Houston. She has now led the team in kills, attempts and points in five-straight matches.
The Minsk, Belarus, native hit .218 on a heavy 110-swing workload and added key scoring production from the service line and block. Ranking third in program history for kills by a freshman, she is within 15 of catching Shelly Stafford for the second-most in program history.
She is the first Baylor player to earn Big 12 Rookie of the Week in back-to-back weeks since 2023.
Rakhmanchik and the Bears get back to work on Thursday night, hosting Texas Tech on senior night at 7 p.m. John Morris and Katie Smith will have the call for ESPN+, with stats available through Baylorbears.com/Stats.
