LOS ANGELES – Baylor women's basketball senior Darianna Littlepage-Buggs has been named to the 2025-26 John R. Wooden Award Top 50 Women's Watch List, the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Tuesday.
Selected by a preseason poll of national college basketball experts, the list features 50 student-athletes considered early contenders for the Wooden Award All-American Team and the Wooden Award Most Outstanding Player.
The Oklahoma City native has opened the year with two double-doubles through four games. She posted a team-high 26 points and 11 rebounds Sunday against Le Moyne, scoring 20 before halftime. Littlepage-Buggs is averaging 12.5 points and 9.8 rebounds a game in 2025-26, including a season high of 12 boards at UNLV.
Last year, Littlepage-Buggs earned honorable mention on the WBCA All-America team and a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team. She entered this campaign as a unanimous Preseason All-Big 12 pick and appears on the Naismith and USBWA Player of the Year watch lists, the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year watch list and received honorable mention for AP Preseason All-America.
Baylor continues its nonconference schedule at the WBCA Showcase with matchups against Iowa on Thursday and Davidson on Saturday.
Created in 1976, the John R. Wooden Award program recognizes the Wooden Award Most Outstanding Player for men and women, the Wooden Award All-America Teams for both divisions and the annual Wooden Award Legends of Coaching recipient.
Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
