No. 1 A&T Hosts No. 7 Azusa Pacific for Go Gold Meet

Bears face Cougars for first time since 2021
WACO, Texas – The top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team is set to take on No. 7 Azusa Pacific for its Go Gold Meet.

The meet will start at 5 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center, with tickets available here. Gold T-shirts will be available to fans at the door while supplies last.
Coming into Saturday's meet, the Bears (3-0) face the Cougars (1-0) for the first time since the 2021 National Championship, held in Waco. BU holds a 9-4 record over the Cougars all-time, with a 4-2 record at home.

Baylor is 107-23 all-time as a program and 98-2 under 11th-year head coach Felecia Mulkey.

BU is coming off a road win over No. 4 Oregon, outscoring the Ducks by more than 10 points to take the win. The Bears won all events but Tumbling and had its first 100-point Team Event score of the season.

On Wednesday, Baylor had its fifth sweep of the NCATA weekly awards in program history with Payton Washington (Athlete), Jordan Gruendler (Specialist) and Leavy McDonald (Freshman).

APU hosted Hawaii Pacific for its first meet of the season, defeating the Sharks by 18.955 points.Â

The meet with the Cougars will be streamed on ESPN+, with Kurtis Quillin and former Baylor All-American Ashley Echelberger on the call.
