Presleigh Pilon, Leah Cran and Faith Piper each recorded a double
WACO, Texas – Baylor Softball fell against No. 12 Texas Tech, 14-0, Saturday afternoon at Getterman Stadium.
THE RUNDOWN
Texas Tech was able to get on the board first in the contest, after the Bears turned a 6-4-3 double play to erase the leadoff runner but a follow up walk and two-run bomb made it 2-0.
Leah Cran led off the bottom half of the first with a stand-up double before Shaylon Govan drew a walk to put two on with no one out, but three-straight outs ended the Bears' threat.
Presleigh Pilon doubled in the second, before the Red Raiders added to their lead in the top of the third to make it a 4-0 game after another two-run shot.
Baylor retired Texas Tech in order in the fourth inning before adding an unearned run in the fifth and two more runs in the sixth to go up 7-0 with an inning and a half left to play.
Tacking on to its lead in the seventh, TTU ripped another two-run home run over the wall in left field before scoring five more runs to take the commanding 14-0 lead and shutting the door on Baylor's offense.
