Bears face Gaels for the second time in history
WACO, Texas – The top-ranked Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team is ready to take on No. 8 Iona at home for their Youth Day.
The meet will start at 5 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center, with tickets available here. There will be a skill activity for kids 12 and under after the meet, and a baby race at halftime.
Coming into Saturday's meet, the Bears (6-0) face the Gaels (3-1) for the second time in program history and the first time in Waco. BU holds a 1-0 record over the Gaels, with the inaugural meet having been on the road.
Baylor is 110-23 all-time as a program and 101-2 under 11th-year head coach Felecia Mulkey. Coach Fee will be honored for her 100th career win during the meet, which came on March 8 at Missouri State.
BU is coming off a road win over No. 15 Duquesne, outscoring the Dukes by more than 18 points to take the win.
On Wednesday, Leavy McDonald brought home another NCATA weekly award,Freshman of the Week, her fourth this season.
The meet with the Gaels will be streamed on ESPN+, with Kurtis Quillin and Angela Urban on the call. Fans can follow along with the live scoring sheet or follow the team X account for updates as well. A final scoresheet and recap will be posted to BaylorBears.com after the conclusion of the meet.
