WASHINGTON – Former Bear Khadijiah Cave has signed a training camp contract with the Washington Mystics, as announced by the team.
Eyeing her first career WNBA game, Cave was on the Atlanta Dream training camp roster in 2024, playing in two preseason games with eight points and 10 rebounds scored across the two contests. Before the Dream, Cave signed with the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks for training camp stints since her departure from Waco after the 2017 season.
Cave became the 33rd player in program history to surpass the 1,000 career point mark and earned her first Big 12 Player of the Week honor in 2016-17. She sits fourth all-time in field goal percentage (.566) at Baylor.
The Augusta, Ga., native was rewarded with the Big 12 Sixth Man Award in 2015, after averaging 9.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game off the bench. As a senior, Cave appeared in 34 games with two starts. She shot 62.9 percent from the floor and averaged 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest.
The Washington Mystics open the 2025 WNBA regular season on May 16 against the Atlanta Dream.
