WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball added some depth on Friday, signing Arizona transfer Will Kuykendall.
The 6-foot-2 guard appeared in three games for the Wildcats last season after redshirting in 2023-24. Baylor head coach
Scott Drew looks forward to adding Kuykendall's presence to BU's roster.
"Will is someone that has been around a lot of high-level basketball and knows the importance of competing hard every day," Drew said. "Dating back to his high school days, he has won a lot of basketball games, so he is going to be a great teammate and someone that will make us better by how hard he brings it every day in the gym."
A former high school teammate of Baylor signee Tounde Yessoufou, Kuykendall appeared in three games for the Wildcats a season ago as the Wildcats made a run to their second-straight Sweet 16. After walking on as a freshman, he elected to take a redshirt year in 2023-24.
At St. Joseph he teamed up with Yessoufou to help the Knights to a 28-7 overall record and a perfect 14-0 district mark in 2022-23, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists per game.
In addition to reuniting with his former teammate, Kuykendall joins fellow transfers Isaac Williams, Dan Skillings Jr., Caden Powell, Juslin Bodo Bodo, JJ White, Michael Rataj and Obi Agbim. Additionally, the Bears will welcome in Link Academy wing, Andre Igoudala II for the 2025-26 season.
