
WBB Reuniting with Texas in Sprouts Farmers Market espnW Invitational

Bears and Longhorns reignite in-state rivalry in Fort Worth for 112th meeting
FORT WORTH, Texas – Baylor women's basketball will take on former Big 12 rival Texas in a neutral-site non-conference matchup on Sunday, Dec. 14, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, ESPN Events announced Thursday as part of the inaugural Sprouts Farmers Market espnW Women's Basketball Invitational. The game will be live on ABC with tipoff scheduled for noon CT.

"In collaboration with Sprouts Farmers Market, The espnW Invitational is a presentation of the games top athletes competing at the highest level – delivering Women's Sports fans more of what they crave. The 112th meeting between the Longhorns and the Bears continues the streak of the I-35 rivals clashing in each of the last 50 years, last facing off on February 1, 2024, at Foster Pavilion. Since 1975, the two programs saw each other at least twice each season until 2024-25, Texas' debut in the Southeastern Conference.
Tickets for the Fort Worth event are set to go on-sale this fall. Fans can secure first access to the beat seats now by registering for the pre-sale at www.espnWinvitational.com.
The 2025-26 Baylor women's basketball schedule kicks off from Adidas Arena in Paris, France, on Nov. 9, as BU faces Duke in the Oui-Play doubleheader. The full non-conference schedule will be announced soon.
