Bears in the hunt to stay unbeaten against the Wildcats
WACO, Texas – Baylor soccer is back at Betty Lou Mays Field to wrap up non-conference play on Sunday at 7 p.m., hosting the WAC's Abilene Christian. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Lincoln Rose and Katie Goodman on the call.
After defeating Northwestern State in Abilene on Thursday night, 1-0, the Wildcats head south to take on the unbeaten Bears for the fifth time in program history. Baylor has won three of the last four matches against the Wildcats, coming to an overtime draw in 2019 and a dominating 7-0 victory in 2023.
The Wildcats, who face Baylor as their lone Power Four opponent of the 2025 season, hold a 4-4 record that showcases wins over UTP, Tulsa, Houston Christian and Northwestern.
Sunday night's match is the annual Pups at the Pitch promotion, where the first 100 fans will receive a collapsible dog bowl with halftime entertainment of a corgi race.
Baylor's Tyler Isgrig received Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week praise this week after a two-goal performance the last time out against Texas State, giving the Bears their third weekly award of the year from the league.
The Bears aim to extend their unbeaten non-conference streak and continue their best start under head coach Michelle Lenard. They currently boast a 4-0-2 record, with a 2-0 win over then-No. 17 Mississippi State a few weeks ago, followed by a 1-0 victory over former conference foe Texas.
Live stats will be available online with updates provided on social media.
