The Bears enter winners of 35 of the last 39 against the Red Raiders
LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 20 Baylor volleyball (6-3) returns to Big 12 Conference action on Wednesday night with a road match at Texas Tech (8-4) at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock.
The Bears got off to a good start in league play last week with a 3-0 sweep at UCF and will look to continue their dominance over the Red Raiders. Baylor enters Wednesday night on a six-match winning streak overall against Tech and a 13-match winning streak in The Hub City, dating back to 2012.
Wednesday's match is the final of a four-match road swing that has included matches at No. 19 Florida and No. 2 Texas. Baylor is one of just two Big 12 teams to play at least three opponents ranked in the top 11 at the time of the match.
Manuela Bibinbe continues to lead the Bears in kills (102) and points (117), while Florida transfer Gabbi Essix leads the Bears in blocks, notching 1.34 per set, the fifth-best mark in the Big 12.
Boasting a strong start from the service line, Baylor is seventh in the league in service aces (1.57/s), while setter Harley Kreck is seventh among individuals with 0.44 aces per set.
Mike Leslie and Breeann Thornton will have the call from Lubbock on ESPN+, beginning at 6 p.m. CT. Live stats are available at BaylorBears.com/stats.
