Scott scored 19.5 points per game through the Beehive State
IRVING, Texas – Baylor women's basketball redshirt sophomore Taliah Scott has been once again named to the Big 12 Starting Five for her fifth weekly league award of the season, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Scott led the Bears in scoring on the road against both Utah and BYU, finishing with 14 points against the Utes before powering BU's offense with 25 points in Provo. She closed out the win over BYU with a dominant 12-point fourth quarter and added five assists and six rebounds.
Scott's award is Baylor's 148th all-time weekly honor. It also marks Scott's fourth weekly league award after winning Player of the Week following the upset over then-No. 7 Duke while being named a Top Performer twice.
The Big 12 Conference named Oklahoma State's Stailee Heard the Player of the Week, Kansas' Jaliya Davis the Freshman of the Week, and recognized Arizona State's Heloisa Carrera and Cincinnati's Mya Perry as additional top performers.
Baylor is back home for a pair of Big 12 contests, hosting UCF on Wednesday night at Foster Pavilion before welcoming Houston on Sunday afternoon. Both games will be live on ESPN+ and the Baylor Sports Media Network.
Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
