BUs Creager turns in a dominant outing against Coastal Carolina
CLEMSON, S.C. – Baylor softball split its Saturday at the Clemson Classic, earning a 3-2 victory over Coastal Carolina before falling 8-0 to, host, Clemson at McWhorter Stadium.
The Bears moved to 11-3 on the season behind a complete-game effort in the opener from Cambree Creager, before seeing their rally attempts stalled against the 24th-ranked Tigers.

Game One: Baylor 3, Coastal 2
The Bears struck first in the second inning, when sophomore Sa'Mya Jones scored the lone run of the frame on the heels of a pair of stolen bases.
The Baylor lead ballooned to three in the fourth, as BU got run-scoring doubles from freshman Olivia Buettner and junior Abi Flores to pick up a couple of runs, which made it 3-0 in favor of the Bears.
Coastal Carolina put a couple of unearned runs on the scoreboard against Cambree Creager, who went a career-high seven innings, matching a career-high with six strikeouts.
Game Two: Clemson 8, Baylor 0
In the nightcap, Baylor was held to two hits in an 8-0 loss to Clemson, which scored in four of five innings to claim the run-rule victory.
The Tigers struck early with runs in the first and second innings before extending the lead with a three-run fourth and a two-run fifth. Clemson finished with 11 hits, including multiple extra-base hits, while limiting Baylor's offensive opportunities, allowing just two Bear runners to reach second base.
