Carr earns second weekly honor of career
IRVING, Texas – Baylor men's basketball Cameron Carr was recognized on the Big 12 Starting Five for his performances in Baylor's win versus Colorado and on the road at Iowa State, the conference announced on Monday, Feb. 9.
Through two games, Carr was fifth in the league in the Big 12 in scoring with 43 points, averaging 21.5. The redshirt sophomore guard put up double-figures in both games, with 24 at No. 7 Iowa State, just four points shy of tying his career-best. His 24 points was a conference season-best, which contributed to tying his career-high in made threes (5) and three-field goal attempts (10).
Carr played all but four minutes across the two games and found nine dimes on the week, averaging 4.5 assists a game.
For the season, the Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native is averaging 19.6 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists on a 52.1-clip from the field and 41.3-percent from deep.
Baylor takes on No. 22 BYU on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. CT at Foster Pavilion on ESPN2.
