Bears power into the final two days
AZUSA, California - No. 1-seeded Baylor acrobatics & tumbling is set to face No. 3-seed Quinnipiac in the Finals on Saturday evening at the Felix Events Center in Azusa, California, starting at 5 p.m. CT.
NOTABLES

Baylor is currently on a 61-meet winning streak.

BU is competing for its 11th-straight national title, all under coach Felecia Mulkey. There was no championship in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Baylor is 35-4 all-time in all rounds of the championship

This is the second time Baylor will face Quinnipiac in the title meet, the last in 2018.

BU last faced Quinnipiac in 2023 in the Semifinal championship.

The Bears earned a perfect 10 in the 7-Element Acro for the first time this season in the Quarterfinals.
EVENT FINALS
BU has earned a spot in all 15 heats for the Event Finals, taking place on Sunday morning at 12 p.m. CT
The Bears will compete for the title in 5-, 6-, and 7-Element Acro, the Inversion, Synchronized and Open Pyramids, the 450 Salto, Synchronized and Open Tosses, and the Duo, Trio, Quad, Aerial, 6-Element and Open Tumbling passes.
The top four scores in each heat from Thursday's quarterfinal round qualified for event finals. Ties were broken utilizing the adjusted average from the regular season, which took out the high and low scores from the regular season. At-Large qualifiers were invited based on the highest adjusted average in each heat from teams that did not qualify to compete at the overall championship. Each team will compete in qualifying order, and the highest score earns the heat title.
