IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its opponent matrix for the 2026-27 women's basketball season Thursday morning.
In the third season of the league's 16-team format, Baylor will face six teams exclusively at home or on the road and play three others in home-and-away series.
The Bears will meet TCU, Texas Tech and Kansas State both in the Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion and on the road during the 2027 campaign. BU and TCU's rivalry will feature two regular-season meetings for the 14th time in the past 15 seasons, while two games against Texas Tech will push the series to its 106th and 107th all-time meetings. Baylor and Kansas State will play twice in a season for the first time since 2023, when the teams split their two regular-season matchups.
Baylor will travel to face Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas, Houston and UCF, carrying a 32-13 record in conference road games under coach Nicki Collen. The Bears split last year's meetings with Colorado between the regular season and the Big 12 Tournament and will meet again for the 25th time, while BU has won three of its four trips to Allen Fieldhouse against Kansas during Collen's tenure. Baylor will face Arizona, Arizona State and Houston on the road for the first time under head coaches Becky Burke, Molly Miller and Matthew Mitchell after playing in Waco in their introductory seasons, while UCF will host the Bears under first-year coach Gabe Lazo.
BYU, Utah, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia will visit Waco this season, with Baylor holding a 21-6 record in conference games at Foster Pavilion since its opening in January 2024. BYU, Utah and Cincinnati will each make their second trip to Foster Pavilion since joining the conference, where Baylor has gone 3-0 against the trio at home with an average 20-point margin of victory. Iowa State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia also arrive after all finished in the top half of last season's standings, with Baylor going 2-1 against the group in 2026.
A full Big 12 schedule will be released at a later date.
