Still more of a jumper through the start of his junior season, became one of the team's most reliable legs on the 4x400 relay over the last two years, qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in back-to-back years. . . . Ranked the fifth all-time performer in the triple jump in program history, going 48-5.25 as a freshman in 2023. . . . Had never cracked the 47-second barrier in the open 400 meters until this year's Michael Johnson Invitational, when he finished second overall and first among collegians with a 45.79 clocking. . . . Ran anchor leg on 4x400 relay that brought him the Big 12 Outdoor championship and then went a season-best 3:02.70 in advancing through the NCAA West Prelims.
2026 Outdoor: Leadoff leg on Baylor's 4x400 relay that won the conference title at the Big 12 Outdoor Championship with a time of 3:02.90. . . . The same group improved on that time at the NCAA West Prelims, qualifying for the NCAA Championship with a season-best time of 3:02.70. . . . With a shift away from the jumps, opened the outdoor season with an eighth-place finish in the 200 meters at the TCU Alumni Invitational. . . . After running the third leg of the 4x400 relay earlier in the season, was moved to the leadoff spot for the Michael Johnson, where the Bears ran a then season PR of 3:05.74. . . . The MJ was also where he ran a stunning career PR of 45.79 in finishing second in the 400 meters. His previous best was 47.22 at an indoor meet. . . . Advanced through the first round of the NCAA West Prelims before bowing out in the quarters.
2026 Indoor: Earned the second all-conference honor of his career, running the leadoff leg on the 4x400 relay that finished third at the Big 12 Indoor with an indoor season-best time of 3:05.77. . . . Ran his then-PR time of 47.22 in finishing 20th in the 400m at the conference meet. . . . Finished third in the 300 yards at the Carolina Classic with a time of 34.08, just off the career PR (34.01) that he ran at the Corky Classic. . . . Only other podium finish was placing fourth in the 4x400 relay at the Jarvis Scott Invitational.
2025 Outdoor: Earned first all-conference honors as part of 4x400 relay that placed sixth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a time of 3:06.19. . . Ran third leg on 4x400 relay that placed third in its heat and ninth overall at the NCAA West Regional with a season PR of 3:05.33.. . . . Finished second in the 400m at the Clyde Hart Classic in 47.27. . . . Had career PR of 47.09 in the 400m at the Florida Relays.
2025 Indoor: Ran leadoff leg on 4x400 relay that finished third at the season-opening McFerrin 12-Degree Invitational. . . . At Corky Classic, recorded a season PR of 47-5 in the triple jump. . . . Ran the 200 and 400 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships.
2024 Outdoor: Competed at the LSU Battle on the Bayou in the 200m, finishing with a time of 22.67 seconds.
2024 Indoor: Competed at 3 meets … Opened the season at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invite, setting a new personal record in the 200m with a time of 21.94 seconds, placing 13th … Placed 4th at the Corky Classic in the 4x400m relay and the long jump.
2023 Outdoor: Competed in three meets ... Ran the 100 meters at the Clyde Hart Classic for 17th before ending the long jump in eighth ... Finished fourth in the triple jump at the North Texas Classic ... Tom Jones Memorial closed his season after finishing 16th in the triple jump and 23rd in the long jump.
2023 Indoor: Hit his best long jump mark in the first meet of the season at 7.18 for fifth at the Corky Classic ... Took seventh at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational ... Finished 10th (triple jump) and 21st (long jump) at the Razorback Invitational before jumping to 15th (triple jump) and 30th (long jump) at the Tiger Paw Invite ... Recorded a season-best mark in the triple jump of 14.76 meters at the Big 12 Championships.
High School: Two-time Victor Ludorum (Most Outstanding Athlete) at the Barbados Secondary School's Athletic Championships (BSSAC) ... 17-time medalist at BSSAC ... Five-time CARIFTA Games Medalist ... In 2022, finished second in the triple jump, third in the long jump and third in the 4x400m relay at the CARIFTA Games ... 2021 bronze medalist at the NSAF US High School Championships ... Silver medalist at National Barbados Championships in the long jump ... Also played tennis and soccer.
Personal: Son of Rupert and Jackie Spencer ... Has two older siblings- Zahra and Jared ... Cousin Andrei Cross swam for Barbados at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
