Tyler Huff

Tyler Huff begins his second year as a volunteer assistant coach at Baylor. His primary duty is to help associate coach Michael Ford in the coaching of the sprint and hurdle crews.
During his first season in Waco, Huff helped Ford train NCAA Indoor 200-meter champion Trayvon Bromell as well as Big 12 100-meter hurdle winner Tiffani McReynolds.
Huff is working on a Master's of Education in Sports Management from Baylor and is projected to graduate in Spring 2016. As part of that program, Huff is teaching instructor in Baylor's Health, Human Performance and Recreation department.
Prior to arriving at Baylor, Huff spent the 2013-14 season as a volunteer assistant at Texas State. He coach four Sun Belt Conference champions and 22 Sun Belt all-conference athletes in working with jumps and multi-event athletes. Before coming to Texas, Huff was an assistant track and cross country coach at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, Calif. He coached current Northwestern distance runner, Jena Pianin, to back-to-back top five finishes at the California Division I state meet in 2011 and 2012.
Huff earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge in 2006.
He is from Pleasanton, Calif. He earned the distinction as a USA Track and Field level II coach in July 2010 and was classified a USTFCCCA Specialist in jumps in July 2014
