High School: Four-year letterwinner in track and field and cross country at Midway High School in Waco for coach Bill Farmer...2003 USA Track & Field Youth national heptathlon champion...Qualified for Junior Olympics...Three-time district champion in the heptathlon, 100-meter hurdles and high jump...Voted most athletic in senior class...Regional qualifier in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles all four years...Was the district MVP two straight years, scoring the most points at the district meet...Won three straight district titles in the 100 hurdles...Also claimed back-to-back district titles in the 300 hurdles and long jump and added the triple jump title as a senior...State qualifier in the 100 hurdles and cross country and earned all-state honors as a sophomore...Was also a three-year basketball letterwinner...National Honor Society member receieved the National Athlete Academic and Panther Pride/Teacher Recognition awards...Also active in student council, student-athlete board, Spanish club and art club...Volunteered for Mission Waco, Caritas and Providence Hospital.
