WACO, Texas - Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson shot an opening-round, three-under par 69 on Sunday afternoon to lead the Baylor golf team into second place through one round of the Notre Dame-hosted 2003 adidas Fall Invitational in Palm Harbor, Fla. The 47th ranked Bears carded a 298 over the par-72, 5,844-yard Lansbrook Golf Club and stand four shots behind the leader, Missouri.

Senior Michaelyn Morgan currently sits in fourth place after firing an even-par 72 and freshman Anna Rehnholm is tied for 23rd after an opening day score of 76. Kelli McKandless and Meredith Jones each tallied an 81 and sit in an eight-way tie for 51st and Erin Bradford is 59th after shooting an 82.

The second round of the tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. (CST) on Monday and the final round will start at the same time on Tuesday.
