WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team will travel Parrish Fla. Feb. 24-25 to play in the Central District Invitational. The tournament is hosted by Michigan State and Northwestern and will be played at the River Wilderness Country Club.
The traveling five consists of senior Melanie Hagewood, junior Kelli McKandless, junior Michaelyn Morgan, junior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson and freshman Josefin Svenningsson.
The 15-team field includes host schools Michigan State and Northwestern, Baylor, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kent State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
The River Wilderness Country Club is a 6,113-yard, par-72 course situated in Parrish.
This is the first tournament for the Bears this spring. They finished fall play with a school record three wins out of five tournaments.
