Women's Golf Travels to New Mexico

WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to participate in the 25th Annual Comcast/Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico, Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 25-27.

The 17-team field includes: Arizona State, Baylor, Brigham Young, Colorado State, Hawaii, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, San Diego State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Tulsa, UNLV, UTEP and Wyoming.

This is the third consecutive year that the Bears have traveled to this tournament. The team finished ninth out of nineteen teams at the 6,069-yard, 73-par UNM Championship Golf Course last year.

The Bears opened the 2003 fall season with a sixth-place finish at Colorado State's Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic, Sept. 8-9. Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson was Baylor's top finisher in seventh place with a 54-hole score of 220.
