Women's Golf Heads to New Mexico

WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team will travel to Las Cruces, N.M. to compete in Price's "Give `Em Five" Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State University, Oct. 4-5 for their third tournament of the season.

The 17-team field includes Arizona State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, New Mexico State, Nebraska, North Dakota State, UNT, San Diego State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, TCU, Texas Tech, Denver, Hawaii, UTEP and W. New Mexico.

The format of the tournament consists of 54 holes beginning with two 18-hole rounds Monday and the final 18-hole round Tuesday.

The New Mexico State University Golf Course is a 6,119-yard, par-72 course in Las Cruces, N.M.

The Bears finished second in the "Give `Em Five" Intercollegiate last year.

The team is coming off of a ninth place finish at Texas Tech's Jeannine McHaney Invitational, where Juniors Meredith Jones and Josefin Svenningsson led the Bears tied for 36th.
