Women's Golf Finishes 8th at the Central District Classic

PARRISH, Fla. - The Baylor women's golf team shot a 306 for a 54-hole total of 925 to finish eighth at the Central District Classic hosted by Michigan State at the 6,113-yard, par-72 River Wilderness Golf Club.
Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson led the Bears with scores of 74-75-79=228, which tied her for 13th. Sophomore Meredith Jones had an outstanding tournament, shooting a 76 in each round. However, Jones' first round score was disqualified, which kept her from finishing along side of Svenningsson at 13th.
Freshman Anna Rehnholm (76-78-79=233) finished tied for 29th with fellow teammate Kelli McKandless (84-77-72=233), while senior Michaelyn Morgan (80-77-82=239) tied for 45th.
LSU shot a 903 to lead the overall team standings by three strokes over Michigan State and nine strokes over Kansas State. Wisconsin's Malinda Johnson (69-75- 76=220), Texas A&M's Christa Spedding (76-72-72=220), and TCU's Brooke Tull (72-75-73=220) finished tied for first at 4-over par.
