The Baylor women's golf team matched its first-round total of 304 but fell one spot to fifth after the second round of the 2004 Big 12 Championship Saturday at the 6,242-yard, par-72 Pebble Creek Country Club.
Sophomore Meredith Jones also matched her first-round 74 and is tied for seventh at 148. Freshman Anna Rehnholm shot a 77 to tie for 16th at 152. Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson rebounded from her first-round 79 to shoot a 75 and tie for 25th at 154.
Senior Kelli McKandless is tied for 30th at 156 (76-80), while senior Michaelyn Morgan is tied for 51st at 163 (85-78).
Texas continues to lead the tournament at 592 (292-300), while Texas A&M trails by seven at 599 (294-305). Oklahoma State is at 606 (296-300) and Oklahoma is one stroke ahead of the Bears at 607 (299-308).
Oklahoma State's Annie Thurman holds a huge edge in the individual competition at 137 (69-68). Texas' Janice Olivencia is second at 144 (72-72) and teammate Perry Swenson is one stroke behind her at 145 (69-76).
The championship will be determined with the third and final round Sunday morning.
