Women's Golf in 19th at NCAA Championships

OPELIKA, Ala. - The Baylor women's golf team shot a 295 to stand in 19th place at 902 Thursday after three rounds at the NCAA Championships hosted by Auburn at the 6,215-yard, par-72 Grand National Lake Course.

Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) continues to play well, shooting her second straight round of even-par 72. She is tied for 14th with a three-round total of 218.

Senior Michaelyn Morgan (Austin, Texas) shot a 76 and is tied for 62nd with a 226. Sophomore Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) is tied for 81st at 229.

Senior Kelli McKandless (Hamilton, Texas) is tied for 87th at 230, while freshman Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) is tied for 111th at 236.

UCLA (858) leads the tournament, five strokes ahead of Oklahoma State and seven strokes ahead of Duke. UCLA's Susie Mathews and Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin are tied for the individual lead at 208, while California's Sarah Huarte is one stroke back at 209.

The championship wraps up with the fourth and final round on Friday.
