OPELIKA, Ala. - The Baylor women's golf team shot a 296 Friday to finish with a four-round total of 1,198 and currently stand 20th at the NCAA Championships hosted by Auburn at the 6,215-yard, par-72 Grand National Lake Course. With play halted due to rain earlier in the day, many of the teams were unable to finish due to darkness, so the Bears will not know the final outcome until Sunday.

Sophomore Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) wrapped up an outstanding tournament with a final-round 74 to finish at 292 (74-72-72-74). Svenningsson parred eight of nine holes on the front nine and rolled in a birdie on 17 to finish 2-over par for the day and is currently in 20th.

Sophomore Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) was unconscious in the final round, firing a career-low 1-under par 71. A bogey on No. 1 would be the last blemish on her scorecard as she parred 15 of the last 17 holes and nailed birdies on four and 12. Jones, who improved every round, is tied for 63rd at 300 (78-76-75-71).

Freshman Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) ended her rookie campaign on a positive note with a 73. Rehnholm birdied four of the last seven holes, including three straight on 15, 16 and 17. Rehnholm is tied for 99th at 309 (78-83-75-73).

Senior Kelli McKandless (Hamilton, Texas) had three birdies and shot a 78 and is tied for 94th at 308 (74-83-73-78). Senior Michaelyn Morgan (Austin, Texas) shot an 80 and is tied for 88th at 306 (73-77-76-80).

Twelve teams have as many as 10 holes left to play, so the Bears will check back Saturday to see the final results.
