AUSTIN, Texas -
The Baylor women's golf team fired a final round 322 to finish in 12th place with a three-day total of 968 Sunday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational.
Junior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) shot a final-round 79 to finish in a tie for 42nd at 241 to lead the Bears. Junior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) finished tied for 53rd (243), while freshman Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) tied for 56th (244). Junior Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) tied for 66th (247) and junior Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) tied for 78th (250). Freshman Stephanie Waters (Austin, Texas) competed individually and fired the best round of the day for the Bears with a 76 to tie for 78th (250).
Duke claimed the team championship with a 914, just one stroke ahead of Oklahoma State (915). Texas, Arizona State and Arkansas rounded out the top five. Arkansas' Stacy Lewis won the individual title with a score of 224, two strokes ahead of Duke's Anna Grzebien and Oklahoma State's Mallorie Underwood (226).
The Bears return to action when they host the BU-Tapatio Springs Shootout March 24-26 at Tapatio Springs Golf Resort in Boerne, Texas.
