RIO VERDE, Ariz. - The Baylor women's golf team dropped to second after shooting a second round 300 Saturday at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational at the 6,277-yard par-72 Rio Verde Country Club's Quail Run Course.
Senior Allison Martin (Bakersfield, Calif.) finished the day in first to lead the Bears after firing a second round even-par 72 (69-72=141).
Junior Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) is tied for 17th at 151 after shooting a second round 79 (72-79=151) while freshman Hannah Burke (Hertfordshire, England) shot a second round 76 (76-76=152) to put her into a tie for 22nd.
Freshman Natalie Hocott (San Antonio, Texas) shot 5-over-par 77 (76-77=153) to tie for 31st while senior Anna Rehnholm tied for 48th shooting a second round 75 (80-75=155). Freshman Kristen Hendrix shot a second round 84 (72-84=156) to tie for 55th.
Toledo shot a 587 (298-289) to lead the overall team standings by only two strokes over Baylor (289-300=589). Baylor's Martin leads the individual standings at 141 (69-72) while Arkansas-Little Rock's Sara Wikstrom is currently in second with 143 (73-70).
