Women's Hoops Crack Top 10 in AP Poll

WACO, Texas - The Baylor Lady Bears moved up to No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll after defeating then-second-ranked Stanford, 81-65, on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Baylor, 2-0 on the season, moved up nine spots with the win over the Cardinal, they were previously ranked No. 19 in the AP preseason poll. Stanford dropped to No. 8 in the poll.

Baylor has been ranked in a school-record 93 straight AP polls dating back to week nine of the 2003-04 listing when it broke in at No. 24. Baylor spent 11 weeks ranked in the top 10 last season achieving a high of No. 5 on Feb. 4.

Baylor will host Stephen F. Austin on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., before making its first road trip of the season, a Sunday, Nov. 23 contest at Rice (2 p.m.).
