WACO, Texas - As the finale for the third annual "Bears Care Bear Drive," sponsored by the First National Bank of McGregor South Bosque, stuffed Bears were distributed by the Lady Bear basketball team Wednesday to patients at Hillcrest Hospital.

Hundreds of stuffed bears were collected at the Baylor-Lamar game on Dec. 8.

After a warm welcome by Hillcrest President/CEO Glenn Robinson, First National Bank executives Mike Beard (CEO) and Steve Doty (CFO) and numerous Hillcrest staff, the Lady Bears visited Kidsville, the hospital's pediatric unit. After visiting with several patients, the team proceeded to the rehabilitation section of the hospital where they greeted numerous patients, passed out bears and signed and distributed autographed mini-basketballs.

"It was such an awesome experience for us," said freshman guard Lindsay Palmer. "We are so blessed in our lives and to be able to bring some pleasure to people, who are undergoing some hardships and illness, truly warmed our hearts."
