Baylor Head Coach Kim Mulkey:
On post players:
"I thought all three post players responded. I challenged them and said they had to show up. They should be acknowledged in great headlines and they should understand how good we are when they play good. It is fun for you as a coach when you see people respond."
On Jessika Bradley:
"Once Jessika Bradley quits being so hard on herself and just let mistakes go by, she is going to get better and better. She tends to focus on the bad. She is doing much better. And she can be such a great relief for Rachel and Danielle when they are tired."
"We sent a message. Forget about Jhasmin. This team is going to keep on keeping on. We miss her. She is there, by our side, sitting on the bench and making suggestions but we are not going to fold. We just have to make some changes. You just make adjustments. I have no doubt this team will."
"Winning makes you happy. Winning and realizing that you played good and contributed to the team, which makes you happy. All of that makes you feel good. We will enjoy today and tomorrow and go back to another road game on Wednesday. Six more left. It is going to be an interesting run. I was looking at standings today. You don't get another shot at certain people and that is going to make this run interesting."
Baylor Post Angela Tisdale:
On breaking the assists record:
"I got a record. It doesn't mean much to me. I just focus on winning the final games that we have."
On the game without teammate Jhasmin:
"I think we are getting used to it slowly but surely. The last game everybody was having doubts about fill-ins for Jas, but now freshman and the rest of us, we are all just getting comfortable with it."
Baylor Forward Danielle Wilson:
On a challenge from coach:
"I think we did respond well. Any challenge that coach takes at us we are up for it and willing to work for it.
Baylor Forward Rachel Allison:
"I think it really showed on our defensive end. We held Seals to five points. She is a good player. When you hold down someone that good, you know that all around defensively we were good. And I thought we rebounded a lot better tonight."
"She said that we had to make our presence known. We needed to do something to get back in Coaches good graces."
Texas Tech Forward Stanecia Graham:
On Baylor's Inside Game:
"[Baylor] has awfully good post players. Baylor is a good team. It wasn't necessarily something that they did; it was what we were doing. We told our team at halftime that we are not losing because of the refs or what Baylor is doing; it's because of what we were doing. Our coaches have been trying to get us to work on our personal problems. We can play with anybody; it is all about getting the experience."
Texas Tech Head Coach Kristy Curry:
On Baylor limiting Dominic Seals Production:
"I don't think [Baylor] did anything different. When you shoot 25 percent you are just not going to win. She [Seals] was 0-6 in the first half and most of the [shots] rimmed out. Most of our damage today was self imposed, although I do give Baylor credit. We just need to make shots on the road to be successful."
On the Game:
"We knew coming in after [Baylor's loss] to Oklahoma State that [Kim Mulkey] had challenged them. They definitely responded to the challenge."
On Baylor's 7 player rotation:
"I think what makes [Baylor] special is their balance. They are more than just [Jhasmin] Player. I think it all starts with [Angela] Tisdale and what she does with for the basketball team. I have always said that my better teams have always had 7-8 players at the most. I think that is the perfect number. I think as coaches we would rather have 7-8 players that can all play, and [Baylor] still has that 7.
