Udoh Named to Old Spice Classic All-Tournament Team

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Baylor men's basketball junior forward Ekpe Udoh was named to the 2009 Old Spice Classic All-Tournament Team Sunday evening. Udoh averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.3 blocks and 3.3 assists in three tournament games for Baylor (6-1), which finished fifth in the tournament with a 2-1 record.
Udoh posted double-double in a 79-76 Thanksgiving Day loss to Alabama (17 points, 10 rebounds) and a 72-62 overtime win over Iona (13 points, 11 rebounds). In Sunday's 69-64 win, Udoh registered 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and a season-high six blocks. He became the first Baylor Bear to block six shots in a game since Mamadou Diene vs. Texas A&M in 2008.
Through seven games, Udoh is second on the team in scoring average with 15.4 points, while leading the team in rebounding (9.3) and blocks (3.6).
Baylor travels to Tempe, Ariz., to face the Arizona State Sun Devils as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series Thursday, Dec. 3. Tip-off is slated for 9:30 p.m. CST on FSN.
