BOULDER, Colo. - Baylor's volleyball team used strong back-row passing game to fuel the offense to a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-20, 25-13) over Colorado at the Coors Events Center on Saturday night in Boulder, Colo.

Baylor managed to put away the first and third sets early in play, but had to come from behind to beat Colorado in the second set.

"It is a great win for us on the road in a place that every team seems to struggle in because of the altitude," head coach Jim Barnes said. "That says a lot about our team. Our whole mindset going into this game was to limit our errors, and we were able to do that."

Sophomore Torri Campbell had 11 kills and senior Elizabeth Graham had 10 kills to pace the Baylor offense, while setters Brittney Ridenour and Kate Harris each had 19 assists. Baylor hit .333 as a team with 47 kills and only 13 errors in 102 total attempts.

Defensively, Baylor had 50 digs to just 37 for Colorado, led by 12 apiece from Caitlyn Trice and Allison King. The match marked the 18th consecutive time that Trice has recorded at least 10 digs. Graham added five total blocks for the Bears.

In the first set, Baylor jumped out to leads of 6-3 and 10-7 before putting on a 6-1 run to put the set out of Colorado's reach 17-11. During the run, Ashlie Christenson and Allison King each had back-to-back kills. With an 18-13 lead, Baylor scored the next seven points to win the first set 25-13. Down the stretch, Graham had two kills and a block assist with Christenson.

The second set was back and forth until Baylor pulled away late. Nicole Lindow gave CU an 15-13 lead, but Baylor took the lead back at 19-18 with a pair of kills by Graham around a Buff error. Baylor scored three in a row for a 23-20 lead with kills by Tolbert and Byrd, then finished off the set with another Tolbert kill and a kill by Graham.

Baylor jumped out to a huge lead in the third set on their way to the sweep. Ridenour and Graham had kills, along with a service ace by Christenson for a 6-1 lead. A 4-0 run capped by a Tolbert kill made the score 20-8. Then Campbell got back to back kills for the 25-13 win.

Baylor returns home after a two-match roadtrip against the University of Kansas at the Ferrell Center. The first serve is scheduled 7 p.m. The Jayhawks will enter the match off an upset of 10th-ranked Iowa State.
