WBB's Odyssey Sims Honored by Big 12

Baylor's Odyssey Sims was named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week by a media voting panel for games from Dec. 21-26. Toni Young (Oklahoma State) and Teena Wickett (Texas Tech shared the league's Players of the Week honor.
Phillips 66 Big 12 Freshman of the Week Sims was named to the Bahamas Sunsplash Shootout's All-Tournament team after helping lead the Lady Bears to the tournament championship. She averaged a team-leading 17 points and shot .619 (13-of-21) from the floor, including .533 (8-of-15) from 3-point range. In Baylor's 77-42 win over No. 23 Syracuse, Sims scored a team-leading and career-high 25-points. She was 10-of-14 from the floor including 5-of-9 from 3-point range and tallied 22 of her 25 points in the first half. The freshman guard added three rebounds, two steals and an assist in the contest. Against Clemson Sims tallied nine points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
