Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at MountainView

TUCSON, Ariz. - Senior Hannah Burke fired a final round 1-under 71 to help the Baylor women's golf team to a fourth-place finish Saturday at the MountainView Collegiate. Baylor (302-298-295=895) finished the tournament one shot behind UNLV for third. Colorado State bested Texas Tech on a tie-breaker to win the event.

Burke finished tied for third at 4-over 220. Two other Lady Bears finished in the top 25; Chelsey Cothran posted a 14th-place showing at 8-over 224, followed by Lene Hafsten-Morch in 23rd at 10-over 226. Jaclyn Jansen shot a final-round 4-over 76 to finish in 28th at 11-over 227. Individual Melanie White carded a 40th-place finish with a 14-over 230, while Karianne Hillaas finished 65th.

Missouri's Julia Potter (73-73-73=219) and Texas Tech's Gabriella Dominguez (71-76-72=219) shared individual medalist honors.

The Lady Bears will host the Baylor Spring Invitational April 12-13 in their final test before the Big 12 Championship.
