Big 12 Women's Golf Championship First Round Results in PDF Format 
NORMAN, Okla. - The Baylor women's golf team is in 11th place at the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship after a first-round 312 Friday afternoon at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
No. 26 Oklahoma State leads the field by six strokes after 18 holes with a first-day score of 293. Texas Tech is in second place at 11-over 299. Host Oklahoma is ninth overall at 18-over 306. Oklahoma State's Victoria Park and Caroline Hedwall are tied atop the leaderboard after both shot 2-under 70 in Friday's first round.
"We were playing the ball well and struck it well all day," Baylor head women's golf coach Sylvia Ferdon said. "Putting is our weakness and it showed today. We still have two more rounds to play."
Senior Hannah Burke led the way for the Lady Bears with a 4-over 76. The Hertfordshire, England, native is tied for 21st overall, tallying a team-best three birdies. Freshman Karianne Hillaas is one shot behind Burke in a tie for 28th at 5-over 77. More than a week after her career-first victory at the Baylor Spring Invitational, Jaclyn Jansen fired a 7-over 79 to finish the first round tied for 43rd.
Lene Hafsten-Morch posted a first-day 8-over 80, while Chelsey Cothran carded a 9-over 81.
The second round of the 2010 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship will tee off Saturday at 8 a.m. CDT. Baylor will begin on the No. 10 tee at 8:50 a.m. CDT. Live scoring is available at www.GolfStatResults.com.
