Women's Golf Moves to Second at Longhorn Invite

THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas -
The Baylor women's golf team finished Monday's second round at 23-over 311 as the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, putting it in a tie for second place with an overall score of 23-over 599. Baylor is tied with SMU and just one stroke back of UNLV entering Tuesday's final round.

Senior Hayley Davis remains in first place individually after shooting 3-over 75 in Monday's second round for an overall score of 4-under 140. Davis is three strokes ahead of Dana Finkelstein of UNLV (-1) in second place. Sophomore Louise Gateau-Chovelon shot 5-over 77 for an overall score of 7-over 151, putting her in a tie for 12th place.

Junior Laura Lonardi is tied for 26th place after shooting 7-over 79 in Monday's second round for an overall score of 10-over 154, while freshman Giovana Maymon and sophomore Maggie Beth Byers are tied for 30th place with overall scores of 11-over 155 after shooting 9-over 81 and 8-over 80, respectively. Sophomore Hadas Libman, who is playing as an individual, is also tied for 30th place with an overall score of 11-over 155 after shooting 7-over 79 in the second round.

HIGHLIGHTS
? Davis leads the field in par-3 scoring with an average of 2.75 and is second in both par 4 and par 5 scoring with averages of 4.00 and 4.75, respectively.
? With 10 birdies through 36 holes, Davis is also the tournament leader in total birdies.
? Davis contributed three birdies in Monday's second round, Byers added two birdies and Maymon and Gateau-Chovelon had one apiece.
? As a team, BU shot 2-under on both No. 7 and No. 13.

STAT OF THE DAY

Baylor plays the third and final round of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Tuesday. BU players will begin from the first tee with Byers up first at 9:45 a.m. CT.
