AUSTIN, Texas -
The Baylor women's golf team sits in the middle of the pack in fifth place after shooting 11-over-par 299 in Saturday's second round at the Big 12 Women's Championship at UT Golf Club. Baylor heads into Sunday's final round with an overall score of 20-over 596.

Laura Lonardi leads Baylor after shooting 2-over-par 74 on Saturday, placing her in a tie for fourth place at even-par (144) overall, and four strokes behind tournament leader Natalie Karcher (-4, 140) from Texas. Natalia Perez (+5, 149) shot 1-over 73, placing her in a tie for 13th place, and Hayley Davis (+8, 152) is tied for 26th place after shooting 6-over 78. Louise Gateau-Chovelon (+9, 153) shot 3-over 75 to tie for 31st place, and Hadas Libman (+10, 154) carded a 5-over 77 for her second straight day and is in 37th place.

Baylor heads to the final round at the tournament 13 strokes back of leader Oklahoma (+7, 583). The Lady Bears also trail Texas (+10, 586), Kansas (+16, 592), and Iowa State (+19, 595), and Baylor is in front of Texas Tech (+25, 601), Kansas State (+28, 604), Oklahoma State (+30, 606) and TCU (+40, 616).

HIGHLIGHTS
• Baylor had 11 birdies during the second round, giving it a total of 19 for the tournament.
• As a team, Baylor shot 1-under-par on No. 1 and No. 5.
• Lonardi, Perez, Davis and Libman have recorded four birdies each through the first two rounds.
• Libman and Perez each had 13 pars in the second round.
• Perez is tied for third in par-3 scoring at 2.88 for the tournament.
• Lonardi is in a two-way tie for the lead in par-5 scoring average at 4.50 - she is also tied for fifth in the tournament field with 25 pars.

3 - the number of birdies Gateau-Chovelon had during the second round of the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship, which led all Lady Bears. Gateau-Chovelon had birdies on No. 2, No. 5 and No. 10.
