THE RUNDOWN
HANAHAN, S.C. - Baylor women's golf finished Monday's second round in a tie for 20th place at the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C. The Lady Bears shot 16-over-par 304 for a total score of 32-over 608 after the second of three rounds at the 12th-annual tournament.
Senior Hayley Davis led the Lady Bears in Monday's second round by shooting 2-over 74 for a total score of 10-over 154, which places her in a tie for 84th. Sophomore Maggie Beth Byers is tied for 58th place after shooting 3-over 75 for a total score of 6-over 150. Sophomore Hadas Libman is tied with Davis for 84th place after shooting 8-over 80 in the second round.
Freshman Giovana Maymon and junior Natalia Perez are just one stroke back of Davis and Libman and are tied for 89th place with a total score of 11-over 155 after shooting 7-over 79 and 4-over 76, respectively.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Byers has the second-most pars in the 120-player field with 26 total pars through 36 holes.
• Davis leads the Lady Bears with seven total birdies and is tied for the 16th-most birdies in the first two rounds of the tournament.
• Four of the five BU players had birdies in the second round with Davis leading the way with four birdies. Byers and Perez contributed two birdies apiece, and Libman added one birdie and an eagle.
• As a team, the Lady Bears were even or under-par on eight holes in the second round. BU players shot even on No. 10, No. 17, No. 1, No. 3 and No. 8 and 1-under on No. 2, No. 9 and No. 18.
STAT OF THE ROUND
9 - number of players who had eagles in Monday's second round. Libman was one of only nine players in the 120-player field with an eagle in the second round, and she's the only BU player with an eagle in the first two rounds of the Cougar Classic.

"Today's round was a lot more of the same," head coach Jay Goble said. "This team is extremely talented, but until we control the things individually that we can control we are going to get similar results. I know we will learn from our struggles and come out the other end with the knowledge to be better golfers."
