THE RUNDOWN
HANAHAN, S.C. - Baylor women's golf finished Tuesday's third and final round of play in 21st place at the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C. The Lady Bears shot 16-over-par 304 and finished at 48-over 912 in the 12th-annual tournament.
Freshman Giovana Maymon had the best round by a Baylor player in the tournament with 1-over-par 73 in the final round for a final score of 12-over 228, putting her in a tie for 71st place. Sophomore Maggie Beth Byers also finished in a tie for 71st place after shooting 6-over 78 in Tuesday's final round.
Senior Hayley Davis finished in a tie for 79th place after shooting 3-over 75 for a final score of 13-over 229. Sophomore Hadas Libman shot 6-over 78 to put her in a tie for 91st place, and junior Natalia Perez finished in a tie for 106th place after shooting 11-over 83 for a final score of 22-over 238.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Throughout the tournament Libman was one of only 14 players out of the 120-player field to have an eagle.
• Libman had a 3.00 average on par 3s throughout the tournament, the 15th-best average on par 3s.
• The Lady Bears had six birdies during the third round to give them 25 birdies in the tournament.
• BU players shot 1-under on both No. 4 and No. 15 in the final round.
STAT OF THE DAY
11 - The number of holes the Lady Bears shot under-par as a team throughout the 54-holes of the Cougar Classic. Baylor shot under par on six holes in the first round, three holes in the second round and two holes in the final round.

"This is not how we had planned to start our year," head coach Jay Goble said. "I am not going to make any excuses, but we were not ready to play our best this week. We will regroup and refocus our attentions on preparing properly for our next event in Oklahoma."
