THE RUNDOWN
PALOS VERDES, Calif. - The Baylor women's golf team stayed atop the leaderboard after the second round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Baylor shot 5-over 289 in Monday's second round at the Palos Verdes Golf Club for a total score of 2-over 570, giving BU a nine-stroke lead over the field of 16 teams that includes 10 teams ranked in the nation's top 25.
Hayley Davis leads the Lady Bears and is tied for first individually after shooting 3-under 68 for an overall score of 5-under 137 through two rounds. Dylan Kim sits in a tie for sixth place with an overall score of 1-over 143 after shooting 1-over 72 in Monday's round.
Just one stroke behind Kim, Laura Lonardi is tied for 10th place after shooting 5-over 76 for an overall score of 2-over 144. Giovana Maymon shot 7-over 78 for an overall score of 9-over 151 to sit in a tie for 35th place, and Louise Gateau-Chovelon is tied for 47th place after shooting 2-over 73 for an overall score of 10-over 152.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Davis led the team in birdies with seven total birdies in Monday's round. Davis also leads the individual field with 13 total birdies through the two rounds, five more than any other individual.
? Lonardi has the second-most pars in the individual field with 27 total pars.
? Baylor leads in birdies with 28 total. BU also leads in par-4 scoring with an average of 4.13.
? Davis leads the individual field in par-4 scoring with an average of 3.86.
? Davis had three birdies in a row in both the front nine on No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7 and in the back nine on No. 14, No. 15 and No. 16.
? Kim had back-to-back birdies on No. 15 and No. 16.

"We had another solid day today and it was a lot of fun to watch them compete on a difficult day," head coach Jay Goble said. "It was windy and much tougher today. This is a mini national championship field and today's round should show our team that they truly belong with the best teams in college golf. Our plan is to control what can control and leave all our efforts on the course tomorrow."
